When I started this journey, as much as I hate to admit, I was 319 lbs. I was scared of my future health, scared to develop heart disease and diabetes. As a nurse, I had seen so much of this, and it finally hit me one day that this was my future. This is a start picture on the right, and the left is after 85 lbs. lost.
I do need to say the journey has not been easy. I started slowly with walking for exercise and eventually joined the YMCA. I have lost this weight solely with diet and exercise. I am working on this blog to help keep myself more accountable. I have used www.sparkpeople.com for my weight loss and to track my food. I have received alot of support from Spark.
I am hoping to lose another 70 pounds...althought i have another 85 pounds to get to a normal BMI. We will see where I can get to.
I have to say thank you to my husband, Matthew, and all my family and friends for all of your support throughout this. Without you, none of this would have ever been possible.
I plan on posting on here daily if I can, updates on diet and exercise as well as my life's journey in general.
